IN THE WHITE CROSS, Stokstraat 47. After the recent refurbishment of the gable stone this name is again visible on the cartouche (=frame) under the cross.
At the beginning of the 17th century there was a court that belonged to the neighbouring house "den ancker" (=the anchor) where this house now stands . Later on two investment houses were built on it, which apparently had to make do with just one gable stone. That is why it is somewhat "out of place" in today's facade, and the window to the right of the door was originally also a door.
